Typical top configurations include snap band, raw edge, snap band, loop top, or grommet top. The typical bottom configurations include closed disk bottom, snap band, hem, beaded cuff, over lock disk and lockstitch disk.
In some applications, strands or fiberous dusts have a tendency to bridge across the filters, become wedged in the cartridge pleats and even stick to the media, making pulse cleaning difficult. Examples of this are: Corn shelling, paper, fiberglass, seed processing, fiberglass and hay compacting. To prevent bridging and wedging, the nylon mesh cartridge overbags are fitted over the cartridge filter.
